Plant-dyed beauty for eco-conscious living.
More than just a kitchen essential, this Tea Towel is a commitment to the earth. Crafted from a precise blend of 70% Thai Cotton and 30% Polish Linen, it is dyed using 100% natural, upcycled botanicals. It's a collaboration between skilled Thai artisans, powerful machinery, and a true Zero-Waste philosophy.
From Our Studio to Your Home: The Story Behind Our Towels
Deep in Nakhon Ratchasima, a province known as the heartland of Thai textiles, our journey began. This tea towel is the result of a passion for sustainable craftsmanship and a deep respect for nature.
We partner with a small studio that carefully selects threads from a durable blend of 70% Thai Cotton and 30% Polish Linen. This precise combination is chosen for its superior absorbency, soft texture, and exceptional strength.
The weaving process utilizes precision machinery, which not only provides the desired cloth width but also ensures the threads endure high tension, resulting in a fabric that is hard-working and built to last.
The Colors of Nature: Each Shade Tells a Story
Our color palette is a living tribute to the Thai landscape and a commitment to minimizing waste. Every shade is derived from local, upcycled materials—such as coconut husks that would otherwise be discarded or pruned tree leaves—and dyed using a precise hot water extraction (80-60°C) and cold dyeing technique.
- Damask: (Deep Earth Tone Red) A rich blend of Mahhuut, Sappan Wood (แก่นฝาง), and Lac.
- Petal: (Terracotta Brown) A deep, earthy shade from Padauk Tree bark (เปลือกประดู่) and naturally fixed with Eucalyptus leaves.
- Coconut: (Beige Nude-Pink) Dyed from upcycled Thai fragrant coconut husks—a beautiful, soft color from agricultural surplus.
- Sunray: (Yellow) Extracted from the peel of the Mahuut fruit (มะพูด), a local wood found across Southern and Northeastern Thailand.
- Sage: (Muted Khaki Green) A sophisticated green from Indian Almond leaves (ใบหูกวาง), refined with a traditional fermented ebony mud technique.
A Durable Beauty: Crafted for Your Kitchen
This towel is designed to be a hard-working piece of art. The Thai Cotton and Polish Linen blend is highly absorbent and strong enough for everyday use. Its unique texture and durability will only improve with time, making it a timeless tool in your kitchen.
Our Zero-Waste Promise: After the color is extracted, all remaining botanical waste is transformed into natural fertilizer, returning goodness back to the earth.
Care Guide
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners.
- Stain Removal: Apply detergent directly to the stain or presoak before washing. Do not use bleach.
- Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or air dry.
- Ironing: Use a cotton heat setting with a pressing cloth to protect the fabric.
- Storage: Store away from direct sunlight to preserve the natural colors.
Note: Due to the use of 100% natural dyes without chemical fixatives, some slight fading or a subtle shift in tone will occur over time. This is the natural, beautiful evolution of the fabric. Wash separately.
